The Ear Training Lab

A repeating reference pitch plays throughout each round. Two tiles appear on the board sharing that pitch's pitch class name (e.g. both are some form of "D") — one tile is correct, one is a decoy of a different pitch class.

Steer into the correct tile to score 10 points and spawn a new round. Steering into the decoy tile, or colliding with your own tail, ends the game.

Pass through the green C tile any time to hear a clean reference C for comparison — this doesn't end your turn.

Power-ups: 🟡 Gold shrinks your tail by half. 🟢 Green slows the snake by 30% for 10 seconds. 🔵 Blue speeds the snake up by 25% for 10 seconds.

Scoring tiers: 0–40 Needs Practice, 50–80 Developing, 90–120 Proficient, 130+ Mastery.

Controls: Arrow keys / WASD, or the on-screen ▲ ◀ ▼ ▶ buttons. Spacebar pauses and resumes.
