How to Play

A reference note is played. Then hum the target interval from that note — up or down — as accurately as you can!

Audiation means hearing the note in your head before you sing it — that's the skill we're training!

Tip: For this game it is best to hum the target note rather than to sing. Singing creates lots of overtones, whilst humming makes it easier for the game to more accurately determine the fundamental frequency. You are welcome to sing the answers, however the pitch detection accuracy may decrease.

Your answer is rounded to the nearest note — the tuner shows how sharp or flat you are within that note, helping you refine your pitch.

How To Play ℹ️

A reference note is played. Your task is to hum the named interval from that note, either up or down as indicated. Beginner mode covers Unison–P5; Advanced covers Unison–Octave — choose in the intro or Settings.

After a countdown you'll have 4 seconds to sustain the note. The live tuner shows your pitch in real time — it only activates while you're humming.

Your answer is rounded to the nearest semitone. If you land on the right note, it's correct! The tuner shows if you were slightly sharp or flat, so you can refine over time.

After each round the piano keyboard reveals the answer: blue = first note, green = target note, red = your (incorrect) answer.

Use Hear Together or Hear Sequentially to replay the interval after each round.

Audiation means imagining the sound clearly in your mind before producing it — this is the core skill being trained!
